When Pro goes on sale, prices will be shown in US dollars. Sales tax or VAT is added at checkout where it applies, and Paddle shows the final price before you pay.
How Pro is planned to be offered
Yearly
Pro for as long as the subscription is active. Billed once a year. You can cancel at any time, and Pro stays available until the end of the period you paid for.
Monthly
The same as yearly, billed every month, which suits a short project. You can cancel at any time, and Pro stays available until the end of the period you paid for.
One-time
A perpetual license. Pro has no expiry date, so you pay once and keep it.
Good to know
- No refunds as a rule; Paddle considers requests made within 14 days. Purchases are in principle not refundable. Within 14 days of a payment you can ask Paddle for a refund; Paddle decides each request, and a request does not guarantee a refund. The product is a download, so there is nothing to return and no return cost. Rights the law gives you to a refund or withdrawal are not affected. See the Refund Policy.
- Who pays and who sells. Paddle.com is our Merchant of Record: Paddle sells the license to you, collects payment and taxes, and sends your receipt. See the Terms of Use.
- Your license. Free is free for personal and business use. A Pro license belongs to one person, who can use it on all of their own devices. Anyone who uses Pro for work, whether freelance, contract or company work, on their own computer or a company one, needs their own license.
- Your key. After you pay, the license key is sent to your email. It holds the license holder's name (or email address), the plan and, for a subscription, an expiry date, all signed by us. You enter it in the app, which checks the signature offline. Activation needs no internet connection, and no device ID is sent. A subscription key renews by itself (see below), so you never paste a new key.
- When a subscription ends. Pro features stop and the app goes back to Free. Your files and data are never changed, and opening and saving stay available in Free. A one-time license does not expire.
- Automatic key renewal. A monthly or yearly key has an expiry date. Once it has passed, and if you have paid, the app fetches a new key online by itself within 14 days. It checks when it starts and, while it keeps running in the system tray, every 6 hours; it does not check before the expiry date. If no new key arrives within the 14 days, Pro stops and the app returns to Free. If payment resumes, press Check again on the License page in Settings to turn Pro back on. The check sends only the key's identifier: no device ID, name or email address. One-time licenses and Free are never checked.
- No nagging. The app does not keep asking you to buy, and it never closes itself.
- Teams and companies. Each person buys their own license. We do not currently offer bulk purchase, invoicing or company contracts. If you have questions, write to us.
- Payment methods and invoices are provided by Paddle at checkout. You receive a receipt by email.
