About Delimixx

Delimixx is made by Quintastella, an independent software business based in Japan.

What we are building

CSV files travel between systems, people and countries. Along the way they get damaged in small ways: leading zeros disappear, codes turn into dates, a Shift-JIS file becomes unreadable, a final newline vanishes. Delimixx is a CSV and TSV editor built so that an unedited file comes back byte for byte (with the default save settings), and after an edit its encoding, BOM and line endings are kept.

Principles

  • Do not change what the user did not change. An unedited file comes back with the same bytes (with the default save settings); after an edit, the encoding, BOM and line endings stay the same.
  • Keep your data local. No telemetry, no uploads, no account for the free edition.
  • Say what is true. The website lists what the program does today, and its limits, including that it runs on Windows only and loads whole files into memory.
  • Be easy to leave. Your CSV stays a plain CSV. Formatting lives in a sidecar file you can delete.
